Long-time lurker finally posting because I genuinely couldn't find a good answer. What are the best over 65 dating sites today?

The word 'free' gets stretched so far these days it barely means anything. Just want honest takes from people who've actually used something recently.

Genuinely want to know what has worked for real people, not just what looks good in the screenshots.

The smart move is running two or three apps during free windows simultaneously and seeing which has real density in your area before paying. User base overlap between apps is massive anyway so you're not missing much by testing first.

Luvdate has been mentioned in a few similar threads — anyone here actually tried it recently?

The market is completely saturated right now. Heavy hitters like Grindr, Hinge, Facebook Dating dominate traffic but niche platforms often have more authentic communities. Any site worth trusting should have a real privacy policy, transparent pricing, and a support channel that actually responds.

Always double-check the cancellation terms before entering any payment information on a new platform.

I've seen Turndate come up more than once in these discussions — seems more transparent than the mainstream options.

Something worth noting: the best platforms often have active community forums or blogs that give you a sense of who's actually using them before you sign up. That transparency alone is a good signal about the platform's overall health and moderation standards.

Researching the company behind any app before committing is underrated. A quick search can save a lot of grief:

  • Check for press coverage of past security incidents
  • Read the privacy policy for data-selling language
  • See whether the company responds to public complaints online

Worth a look is Ezhookups — appeared in several community discussions with decent reviews attached.
