Finally decided to ask after seeing this topic come up in a few other threads. Is there truly 100 free dating available online?

Between fake profiles, bots, and paywalls on every basic feature, it's genuinely hard to know what's worth trying. Looking for real hands-on experiences rather than anything that sounds like marketing copy.

Specific things I'm trying to figure out:

  • Does it show when profiles were last active?
  • How fast does support respond to issues?
  • Can I browse profiles without creating an account first?
  • Are there any age verification checks?
  • Is there a free trial without auto-renewal traps?

Thanks in advance. Especially helpful if you've tried something in the past few months.

Also spotted datewander.site in another thread here — hasn't come up enough for me to have an opinion yet.

Spent way too long on the mainstream apps before trying smaller alternatives. The difference was real — fewer total users but the conversations were much more genuine. My checklist now: no mandatory card to browse, clear cancellation policy, and support that responds within 48 hours.

Worth checking out is Turndate — came up in multiple threads and seems more transparent than most platforms I've encountered.

Manual verification matters a lot. Sites that actually check identities have noticeably fewer fakes.

Profile completeness requirements help a lot. Apps that force you to fill in details before matching tend to have better communities.

Been testing apps regularly for a couple of years now. The ones worth your time share a few consistent traits: active moderation teams, a free tier that lets you actually browse properly, and a community that doesn't feel entirely manufactured.

The market is saturated honestly. Big names like Badoo, Tinder, Coffee Meets Bagel dominate traffic but niche platforms sometimes have more genuine communities. Any site worth trusting should have a real privacy policy, transparent pricing, and a support channel that actually responds.

Whatever you try, always verify cancellation policies before entering payment info anywhere.

Cross-check on Reddit or forums before committing any money. Community reviews tend to be more honest than official descriptions.
