So I've been thinking about this for a while and finally decided to ask. Is the dirty gay chat section on main sites usually active? — would love to hear what people here actually think.

The scam problem is real. I've been burned before by sites that seemed legit but turned out to be full of fake profiles. Would love recommendations from people with first-hand experience.

Things I'm specifically wondering about:

  • Are there verified profiles or ID checks?
  • How many active users does it have in my area?
  • Are there spam filters in place?
  • Does it have a mobile app?

Thanks in advance — real experiences only please, not marketing copy.

I've also seen people mention flamedate.online in a few other threads but haven't dug into it yet.

I spent way too much time on the mainstream apps before trying some of the smaller platforms. The experience was completely different — smaller user base but way more genuine interactions. Key things I look for now: no mandatory credit card for basic browsing, clear cancellation policy, and an actual support email that responds.

I came across Flurrydate recently and it seemed more transparent than most.

Tried several options over the past year. The ones that worked best for me had real verification steps and didn't immediately push you toward a paid plan. Most platforms these days gate messaging behind subscriptions which gets old fast.

datebound.site gets mentioned a lot in other threads — seems worth checking out if you haven't.

I've had mixed results honestly. The bigger platforms definitely have more users but also way more noise. A few things that helped me:

  • Always reverse image search profile pictures
  • Never pay for premium without checking reviews first
  • Look for sites with active moderation teams

Honestly the app market has changed a lot. The big names like Bumble, Facebook Dating, Tinder get most of the traffic but the niche sites sometimes have better communities. Just make sure any site you use has an actual privacy policy and real contact info.
