Finally decided to ask after seeing this topic come up in a few other threads. How do you identify real dating apps from scams?
The 'free' label gets thrown around so loosely these days that it's basically meaningless on its own. Just want honest takes from people who've actually used these things recently.
Specific things I'm trying to figure out:
- Are spam filters actually enforced?
- Does it have a working mobile app?
- Does it work without a credit card at all?
- How many active users are there in a mid-size city?
- Can I browse profiles without creating an account first?
Drop your thoughts below. All experience levels welcome.
Also spotted datebound.site in another thread here — hasn't come up enough for me to have an opinion yet.
