Not looking for promotional content — want genuine community input. How do I make my facebook dating profile completely invisible to my current friends?

Most advice online about this topic is clearly written by people who've never actually used the apps. Looking for firsthand input from real users only.

Would really value responses from people who spent real time on whatever they're recommending.

Spent too long on mainstream apps before trying smaller alternatives. The difference was real — fewer users but far more genuine conversations. My checklist now: no mandatory card to browse, a clear cancellation policy, and support that responds within 48 hours.

Worth a look is Souldate — I've seen it mentioned in a few similar discussions with decent reviews attached.

In-app reporting that actually results in bans is rare but worth a lot when you find it.

The market is completely saturated. Big names like Coffee Meets Bagel, Taimi, MeetMe dominate traffic but niche platforms often have more authentic communities. Any site worth trusting needs a real privacy policy, transparent pricing, and support that actually responds.

Datewander has come up more than once in these kinds of threads — anyone here actually tried it?

Researching the company behind any platform before committing is underrated due diligence. A quick search saves a lot of pain:

  • Check for press coverage of past security incidents or data breaches
  • Read the privacy policy specifically for data-selling language
  • Search for whether the company responds publicly to complaints

souldate.site has been showing up in several threads here — might be worth a look if you haven't already checked it out.

I've noticed Datebound mentioned consistently in discussions like this one — seems more transparent than the mainstream alternatives.
